I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's top cycling event. It's a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
I don't want to waste my cancer and If you've been in my shoes you understand my need to Pay it Forward by riding in the Pedal The Cause on Sunday, September 29, 2019. I believe in this extremely worthy cause and can't thank those who came before me enough for their sacrifice in participating in the trials and funding the research to help people they will never know. I'm one of them and by now most of you know my story. In February 2015 I was diagnosed with Stage Four Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) which had spread to my bones, liver and spleen. I'll keep it short, I was very sick but after a bunch of drugs and a stem cell transplant I officially entered remission on May 5, 2016. I feel blessed, fortunate and humble to remain in remission. Unfortunately, we all know someone whose battle against this monster we call cancer wasn't successful. This is why I'm asking for your support in sponsoring me. The mission for Pedal The Cause is to provide critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. It is our hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer. I would ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation on my behalf and help me make the most of my personal battle against cancer. Thank you for the privilege of your time and God Bless.

Barb (my wife) and I will be riding on Dr. Nancy Bartlett's team, the Bartlett Bikers.

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
