WHY I RIDE

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

So please help and donate what you can

We ride because we are Powered by Hope. We are inspired by the vision that one day there will be a world without cancer. So join us, whether you ride with us in person, in the spinning tent or virtually, your support will go a long way. In fact, 100 percent of your contribution will go directly to support cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

I started with PTC as the race photographer in the very first ride and have continued to be involved with PTC ever since. Pedal the Cause has been and will always be very personal for me. I have told the stories of kids who have won the fight with cancer and the ones who have lost. I can't see one particular Mom whose daughter lost the fight without instantly melting to tears. That is how close PTC is to my heart. This will be my 3rd year riding and my first organized Metric Century. I can't wait to ride and cross the finish line knowing that I have done all I can for PTC and the people whose lives it impacts.

This year Team Powered By Hope's 2019 Ride for a Child is Harper! She is 8 years old and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on February 2, 2019. She will continue her treatments until April of 2021. Harper loves playing soccer, drawing, reading, crossfit, cooking and science. She is a huge fan of Harley Quinn, Imagine Dragons, St. Louis Blues and Ava Max.

Of course, we would never forget to ride in memory of our brave little 'Leo the Lion'; or in honor of Luca, our computer master; Allison, our petite princess; Peyton, our unstoppable bundle of energy; DJ, our kind and loving not-so-little boy; and Kaitlyn, our growing teenager!
