WHY I RIDE

In 2016, my big brother Jason Hoberman was diagnosed with stage 3 Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkins Lymphoma (NLPHL). His attitude throughout treatment was nothing short of astonishing. He was upbeat and ready to fight with whatever he had to beat this disease. Luckily, his team of medical wizards were able put together a treatment plan that eradicated his illness. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to his doctors and whatever other powers that contributed to his successful fight. While we our entering the first of what I hope is many victory laps honoring Jason, we are all mindful of those that are still or will be in the fight one day. We also ride for them so that they may one day feel the unimaginable joy of hearing that their loved ones won the fight.

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's top cycling event. It's a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
