I am riding In Memory of Bill Meadows.

I am riding In Honor of Fin Nayler and Rebecca Salem.

WHY I RIDE

As you know I was struck with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia Sept 2014. I spent over 180 days in the hospital or the spa undergoing chemo, infections, ventilators and relearning how to walk and talk. I am so grateful to report I have been in remission for over a year now! I truly believe I am alive for many reasons...my stubbornness and my incredible support system. I believe the main reason I am still on this earth to dance poorly and to embarrass my children is because I was part of an MD Anderson chemo trial for patients under the age of 40 with AML at the incredible Siteman center.

After having such a life changing disease,,,,you want to make sure there are people that are lucky enough like me to have trails that could save their lives. So that is why I chose this fundraiser.... It's the only fundraiser that 100% of the money raised goes back to Siteman and at Louis children's hospital. There is a chance I might not be here if this organization wasn't here. I ride in memory of Bill Meadows, who fought AML along side of me and unfortunately is now my guardian angel.

Our family has been struck by cancer, way too many times. August 2019, my Fin was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. No one should go through what he has to live, especially a child. He has basically missed his whole high school experience, but he is still with us!! I am riding in honor of my strong mighty boy, Fin. I am also riding in honor of my dear friend Rebecca who I met in 5th grade when she was sporting her blue eye shadow. She is currently fighting at Siteman, she has the same cancer that took her mother too soon. All I know is my world would not be the same without them.

There are so many others I am riding for..the fighters and thrivers...Cate Naylor, Sam Williams, Tammy Linn, Roxanne Fetch, Parker Jackson, Super Thomas, Jessica Lloyd, Stacey Bradford-Budke, Tamara Weidler, my famous friend Terri, Hal Burroughs, Dr. Chris, my dad, so many patients that have changed my life. I also ride in memory of Cliff Mossberger, who was one of my biggest cheerleaders when I was sick. Unfortunately AML took him too soon. There are so many people I ride in memory of...Kallie Rhimes, Alexandria Haddock, Syndi Brown and so many more......

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
