WHY I RIDE

This year I am riding in honor of my aunt PAT PALUBIAK who is has been courageously battling mesothelioma for over 5 years. I am grateful for the treatment Pat receives at Siteman Cancer Center and that she continues to benefit from research funded by Pedal the Cause. In addition to Aunt Pat, I am riding in celebration of my husband RICHARD who has been cancer free for over four years. Thanks to Richard's treatment at Siteman Cancer Center and Dr. Nancy Bartlett, Richard won the big fight.

This year, our firm is matching every dollar I raise. Every dollar raised by Pedal the Cause goes towards cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center or Siteman Kids at Children's Hospital. Every $1 raised by Pedal the Cause brings in another $12 for cancer research. Therefore, each $1 donated to Pedal the Cause on my behalf, funds $26 in cancer research, $10 funds $260 in cancer research, and $50 funds $1,300 in cancer research.

I am riding 20 miles for Pedal the Cause this year. I hope you will join me in this effort to support and honor Pat and Richard, and support all other cancer fighters, thrivers, and survivors. With your help, we can advance research and find a cure for cancer.
