Why I ride: Friends, family and Facebook Family,
Most of you know that I am addicted to bike riding and I want to combine something that I love to do with helping a great cause. And for me that is cancer research. Hopefully one day a cure for this devastating disease will be found. We all have had a mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or a friend close to us be touched by this nasty disease. So, this September 26-27 I will be riding 50 miles in the local bike riding event Pedal the Cause to raise money for cancer research. The best thing about this charity event is that all money raised, 100% of participant donations, is given to Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Children's Hospital to accelerate lifesaving cancer research. These are local facilities where a lot of us would and will be treated for cancer. So, it is more than just a bike ride it is a movement towards finding a cure that is powered by the St. Louis Community. So help us in our efforts in finding a cure to cancer no matter how much you can spare.
