Why I ride: "The reality is that you will grieve forever.
You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one;
you will learn to live with it.
You will heal
and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered.
You will be whole again but,
you will never be the same.
Nor should you be the same,
nor would you want to."
Elizabeth Kubler-Rose and John Kessler

I ride for my Mom, Ellen Marting Moore and my Dad, George Stephen Moore. I ride because Cancer took away the two most important people in my life, my parents, who showered me and my siblings with unconditional love and support from the day we were born. I ride to grieve. I ride to LOVE.

I ride for my daughters Juliet and Vivian and other children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, mothers, fathers, grandparents, spouses and friends of those affected by cancer.

I am proud to make a commitment to Pedal the Cause for my third year, in the fight against Cancer. I ride with my twin sister Madeline, our brother, Matthew Moore and I will ride on Team Ellen in loving memory of our parents: Ellen and George Moore.

I continue to put my faith in God and remember the verse my mom taught us: "I can do ALL things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13.

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
