WHY I RIDE

Everyone I know is affected by cancer. Maybe they have been diagnosed, maybe their spouse, child, parent, grandparents, or maybe one of their friends. No one seems to be spared. Cancer is an equal opportunity offender!

Late last year, I was diagnosed with throat cancer and my personal fight started. As I was going through my chemo and radiation treatment I finally understood, firsthand, what the fight is really all about, how much it takes out of you and how disruptive it is on those closest to you.

I am riding to raise awareness of cancer and raise funds to advance research into new treatment methods, better medication, early detection procedures and eventually a total cure of every type of cancer once and for all.
