WHY I RIDE

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer again this year. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's also a celebration, a family, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer. Cancer care and research is something I am very passionate about. I, as I am sure same as you, have lost count of the friends and family that I have lost to this horrible disease. But at the same time, I have so many friends and family that have fought the fight and are still her today thanks to the continued development in therapies and treatments. Throughout the past decade, I have worked at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Saint Louis University's Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology, and currently at Washington University's Division of Medical Oncology. In these capacities I have been incredibly lucky to build relationships with patients, caregivers, survivors, physicians, researchers, and the many supporters in the fight to end cancer. These are the people that drive me to keep doing more, until we find a cure.

Today I ask you to please support my efforts by donating to my fundraiser, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will fund lifesaving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
