WHY I RIDE

I ride because we need to Win. We need to beat cancer.

For the twelfth year, I am joining this fight against cancer by participating in Pedal the Cause in St. Louis. Pedal the Cause (PTC) has the critical mission to provide funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital through their annual cycling event in hopes that the research funded by their event will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer. It can happen!

This is really important to me. It matters. My mom died of multiple cancers. I ride for her, and others I have known who have battled, or who are currently battling cancer. I especially ride for those who don't have cancer now, but will. The research at Siteman Cancer Center will allow those to have winning chances of beating the dreadful disease. I will always ride for Deb Gribble, a dear colleague of mine who died of Multiple Myeloma several years ago. She was an incredible inspiration and a significant fund raiser for Pedal the Cause, as she believed deeply in PTC's mission. She wanted to win.

I greatly enjoy riding, and it is such a simple thing compared to the toughness of those battling. Indeed, an ideal way to return and give back. Please help me in this journey to find a cure and support cancer research by donating to my ride. It matters. I have a personal goal this year to raise at least $10,000. We can do this. 100% of your donation will go to directly to this research. 100%!! Pretty cool, huh?
