WHY I RIDE

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. As many of you know, cycling is a huge part of my life as a way to stay fit and fuel my competitiveness. In years past I have ridden in honor of many friends who are survivors. This year I am riding in memory of Cassidy Impink: wife and mother of three, who tragically lost her battle with cancer in March 2021 as well as Saila Consalvi: wife and mother of one, endurance athlete, who's life motto was Jaksaa (translating to STRENGTH in her native Finnish language) who lost her battle with cancer in July, 2022. While we have self driving cars and can send rockets to Mars, we are still in need of so much research around Cancer. I hope my ride can inspire others and allow a time of reflection.
