WHY I RIDE

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer for my 11th year. Pedal the Cause is the region's top cycling event. More importantly, it is a way that we can support the researchers and doctors at Siteman Cancer Center who are working to find treatments and cures for so many cancers - including Tami Jo?s brain cancer.

As many of you know, just under 5 years ago we found a anaplastic astrocytoma on the right side of Tami Jo?s brain. It was removed on December 20, 2016, and then followed with radiation and chemo therapy for the next 9 months. Today, we do semi-annual MRIs - and have seen no sign of cancer growth! Praise God!

We give thanks every single day. While she fights pain daily, she is here, and happy, and an awesome mom, wife, daughter, and friend! My wife is an amazing woman!

Our story goes beyond Tami Jo. We share this cancer journey with the Timm family, the Leonard family, and too many of our Edward Jones family. And while shared adversity brings people closer - this has to stop!

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer, and your donation goes directly to one of the finest cancer centers on the planet. We are particularly thankful for the work of Dr. Milan Chheda and Dr. Eric Leuthardt and their teams at Siteman and we are proud that they have received Pedal research funds for the fight against brain cancer.
