WHY I RIDE

Its been years since I have updated this profile and Cancer has claimed more friends and loved ones. I also have more stories of more survivors. Cancer touches us all and the only of fighting this disease as a cyclist is asking for your generous donations. My last update from 2016 follows and will always remain true.

2016 is a different story that year my girls watched their close friend Beth Stark pass form this horrible disease. Beth was a fighter and inspiration. Two days before she passed I went and told her that I would ride this ride for her, now and as long as I can ride. In her typical fashion of challenging everyone to be all that they can she explained that she raised several thousand dollars for Pedal last year and she challenged me to raise more than she did. Beth, I ride in honor of your memory and to help fight this disease that ended your life but not your memory.

In 2015 I said this: Since Pedal last year, two loved ones have been diagnosed and treated for cancer. Both, thank goodness are doing well.
