I am riding In Memory of Royce Plummer.

WHY I RIDE

I'm proud to be riding as part of the Washington University School of Medicine Student Ride Team. As medical students, cancer is something we know we will have to battle in our futures, not necessarily for ourselves or our families but for our patients. We are riding in Pedal the Cause to do our part to support research that is exploratory and groundbreaking. Currently, federal funding often goes towards developing therapies that are already well-understood, but we know that in the long-term, innovative solutions are the only way to beat this formidable enemy that is cancer.

100% of your donations will go to support research at the Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Siteman is consistently recognized as one of the nation's leaders in cancer care, and as WashU med students we are proud to support our very own researchers.

I am riding in memory of my grandpa, Royce Plummer, who passed away in 2007 after a four-year battle against leukemia and the effects of West Nile Virus. I am riding in honor of Siteman Cancer Center patients.

Thank you for your support!
