I am riding In Memory of Janice Campbell.

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's top cycling event. It's a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

Please help me on this journey to find a cure by donating to my ride. I have committed to raising money for cancer research and 100% of your donation will go to directly to this cause.

I plan to ride 37 miles on September 29th, 2018.

I am riding this ride in honor of one of the most special women in the world, my mom, Janice Campbell. Mom was a strong vibrant woman that spent every day of her life giving her time, love and energy to others. She volunteered full time at the Storehouse for Jesus with my dad to help people in need every single workday of the week. All that knew her loved and respected her. In 2015, we found out she had stage 3 ovarian cancer. It was amazing how strong she was through this entire process, at 72 she went into each Chemo treatment with a positive attitude and sheer determination not to let this disease get the best of her. She also insisted on continuing to give back for a long as she could to her community. Even though months later the disease won, it never broke her spirit. From the sock monkey hat that she wore after she lost her hair to the post-chemo dashes, we had to do to get her a steak before she started feeling sick; she remained feisty and upbeat to the very end. She was literally laughing and enjoying being around her family hours before she died. Mom, I think of you and miss you every day and hope that I can do my small part in helping other be with their families longer than I had with you.

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
