WHY I RIDE

Hello,
I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's top cycling event. It's a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

I ride in memory of our dear friend Karen Newell who lost her husband Don Newell to cancer. I ride for our friend Darcy Patton Nayler who lost her son Finn to cancer earlier this year. I ride for my friend Debbie Steiger who lost her sweet mother Diane Diamond. I also ride in memory of my beautiful wife Tam who lost her fight to Nets cancer on December 19, 2021. She fought like a warrior for 5 years and we credit Siteman cancer center and the numerous treatments she received for giving her extra time with us. Team Tammy on Powered by Hope will continue to ride to raise funds to end this cruel disease. Please join me in believing in a world without cancer.
