I am riding In Memory of Eli Abeles.

WHY I'M INSPIRED

I will be pedaling in memory of my beloved, late husband, Eli, who was diagnosed with metastatic clear cell renal carcinoma (stage 4 kidney cancer) in September 2017. Eli worked tirelessly to kick cancer's ass and was treated at Siteman Cancer Center. He benefited from cutting edge research and innovative treatment, including personalized clinical trials and immunotherapy treatments. I truly believe his life was extended due to the tremendous and meticulous care he received while at Siteman, as well as the outpouring of love and support from family, friends and community.

Sadly, Eli's courageous battle ended on Monday, September 10, 2018 just 1 year and 4 days after he was diagnosed. We now ride in his memory and in appreciation of the world-class care he received from top oncology physicians, clinicians and support staff at the Siteman Cancer Center, led by Dr James Hsieh and Julie Tucker, RN,

There is no cure for kidney cancer. It takes world-class research and substantial funding to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Thank you on behalf of Eli, our families and all those impacted by cancer.
