WHY I RIDE
Why am I riding? Let me share a list of the reasons I ride:
In Memory Of:
Sam Wyman, Jan Meyer, Todd Stoll, Rachel Flieg, Kevin Bahr, Helen Basler, Fr. Ray Oge, Randy Schott, Ryan Walker, Chris Jennings, Jessie Williams, Caleb Nehring, Sister Donna, Art Walker, Kevin Bahr, Bubber Blum, Dylan Grither.
In Honor Of:
Nathan Geisner, Nick Fallert, Jaida Fallert, Kim Brown, Amy Tucker, Felix Meyer, John Pfaff, Erica Fullmer, Kurt Bauman, Gene Operle, Anne Chaffee.
This list is way too long and I know I have forgotten people and believe me it's not on purpose. People pop in my head all day long and I think about the struggles they have in fighting this disease, supporting love ones fighting and keeping themselves and others moving forward.
Why do I ride, because I can! If I can pedal a bike, raise some money, and maybe help someone is some small way, well show me the route, air up my tires and get me my Chamois Butter!
I am joining the fight against cancer by participating annual Pedal the Cause bike challenge. Pedal the Cause has the mission to provide funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital through their annual cycling challenge in hopes that the research funded by their event will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer.
Please help me in this journey to find a cure by donating to my ride. I have committed to raise $2500 for cancer research and 100% of your donation will go to directly to this cause.
I plan to ride 50 miles on September 24th and I hope you will join me in this grass-roots effort to advance research and find a cure.
SLCH has done great things for me, my family and friends and Siteman is fantastic resource and facility. Please help me. I've been blessed with a healthy wife, kids and family, It's time I give back and do my best for all my friends and loved ones who continue to fight and to carry on the fight for those who are no longer with us.
Thanks
Scott
